Soap Sculpture – 1
I just received a soap sculpture of a man reclining on a low chair.  He appears luminous and blue, a lonely figure reclining on the kitchen table in the morning sun. I call him Max.  With all that blue, he reminds me of winter snow and ice – a Russian or someone from northern climes.  With those long elegant legs, he could have been a dancer.   He seems old and at peace, enjoying tranquility in his final days.  I hesitate to touch him but aware his hours are numbered.  I move him to a fruit bowl.  He appears more comfortable now, protected from the kitchen clutter.  Maybe he’s dreaming or just counting the days.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away

I will try to get back to using and photographing my soap - it's been sitting up on a shelf for the past month or so.
It's so pretty (aqua blue) that I hate to finish it up!

Arte Efimero

Hola Silvana,

Participants: Mason and Rita

Good morning Silvana,
Rita's soap has just about vanished, the soap was good company and washed with consistency.
My soap sculpture as you can see has become of piece of art in the shower.
My shower experience has truly changed after this exercise.
Thank you

I know it has been a while since my last picture bit it has been hard to use our beautiful piece of art.  This is where she is now.  Still beautiful from the front but much smaller.  The back section has taken a beating floating in water in her dish.  enjoy!!!
